Backing Youth – This is a challenging time to be a young adult seeking opportunities. We support people to get the skills and experience they need to thrive in whatever way we can. Whether it’s giving the opportunity to take courses to earn qualifications, in house training, or even giving artists a public stage to perform on.
We always joke about how we run “Elephant University“, but there’s actually some truth behind that joke, staff training, development and backing youth is a huge project for us, we work very closely with Colleges, Training Schemes and Professional Bodies such as The British Institute of Inn-keeping (BII), Coleg Cambria and Lifetime Training to offer every member of staff unique qualifications catered around their own lifestyles and passions.

Training our staff is extremely important to us. We want to provide them with a high level of education in qualifications based around their own interests. Everyone excels at doing the kind of work for which they are best suited and enjoy. We are constantly looking for new qualifications for our staff to take advantage of.
After starting working for Elephant, I decided I wanted to pursue a career in hospitality. After telling Emma & Adam that this is what I wanted to do they immediately put me on an apprenticeship scheme, set me up on countless qualifications and gave me brilliant in house training to get my career of to a huge kick start.
I began working for Elephant back in 2012 as a member of front of house staff however, I have always had a passion for Accounting. Emma & Adam realised this and when Parkgate opened in 2014 and they offered me a position in Accounts Management alongside training to be an Accountant for the Company.

A talented performer playing at our Open Mic Night
We’re proud to say that every single week we are backing youth by trying to find a unique young musician to perform on our stage as our “super talented support act”, they will get a whole hour to perform in front of a crowd and practice their material we also pay them making Elephant their first professional performance for most performers.
We also actively support them by using our brand and online presence to promote their Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Soundcloud etc channels if they wish.
Elephant’s MusicMonday enhances the music and arts in the area and gives talented youth an opportunity to perform on a public stage.
